News for You:

  • DHD#10 Hearing and Vision re-screening will take place on October 15 for anyone that was absent or needs to be retested.
  • PTO: The PTO (parent-teacher organization) is looking for new parent recruits who want to be a part of a great group to enhance the school experience for all students! The next meeting is on Monday, October 19, at 6:30 PM. You can contact Principal Katona for more information!
  • Intervention Groups will begin on Monday, September 28. Students that were invited received a permission form this week and a call from the school. They will meet Monday-Thursday each week.
  • The PTO Dance-A-Thon Prize assembly will be a recording and will be released on October 7.
  • Parent-teacher conferences this year will be done over the phone or virtually. If you have a meeting scheduled with a teacher in-person, then parents will need to be screened in and will need to wear a mask. Thanks!
  • 4-H Program: It's all about chocolate. September 28 through October 21, 2020. Youth ages 8-14 are invited to participate in this fun,self-paced, 4-H learning Experience. Each participant will receive a box in the mail prior to the start of the program. The cost is $15 per participant. For more info and to register, visit: https://events.anr.msu.edu/ScienceChocolate/.   • The office will be sending forms home with students in Friday folders or by mail that were not sent in at the beginning of the year. We are going thru to see what did not get turned in and requesting again. Please contact the office with questions. Thanks in advance!
  • Parents dropping off their children on Maple Street. Please do not allow your child to exit on the traffic side. This is a safety precaution, and we appreciate your assistance.
  • Parents are not allowed in the building this year. If you have a pre-arranged meeting, then you will need to wear a face mask and be screened in.
  • School Pictures are September 29, and forms will be sent home soon. If you're a virtual student, then you can come to get your picture taken too! Virtual students can come to the school at 1:30.   • Please wash your child's face mask each day before wearing it again at school.
  • Parents, continue to drive forward in the drop-off lane, and please do not leave the vehicle. It has been a great start to the school year, and we want to keep it that way. Thanks!

Manton Remote Students

A big thank you to all the parents that made it through our NWEA testing! It was not an easy task, and I couldn't have done it without your patience! If you missed the window to test, then you need to call the office to set-up a time to come to have your child test. Thanks!


PTO Dance-A-Thon Prize Drawing


We will have our prize drawing on Wednesday, October 7. The drawing will be a recording and I will be releasing the recording sometime on the 7th. Below are the requirements for the prize drawing.

  • Donate any amount of money=Name in drawing
  • Every $20 donated=Extra name in drawing (i.e. $40=2 names, $80=4 names, etc.)
  • Donate over $100=Receive a scratch off ticket and guarantee a prize!
