Today we were notified of a positive Covid-19 case in an individual associated with our Latchkey Program. Due to the quarantines required through contract tracing, we will not have enough staff to run Latchkey. Latchkey will be closed immediately and open again the morning of Tuesday, March 2nd. We are currently calling parents and if you have not yet received a phone call, please call your child’s office to make alternative arrangements for after school today. We will make sure all students are cared for until arrangements can be made for them to be picked up. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes.

I have two important announcements today. The first is that we will be starting up our ski club next Wednesday for grades 5-12. Ski club will be different this year. Due to Covid-19 and the winter sports season being condensed, bussing will not be available. Students will be responsible for their own transportation and supervision during the activity. There will be no way for the students to warm up in the lodge, because the lodge will only be open for bathrooms and food sales. Students will have to use their own vehicles to warm-up. We know this will limit participation, but still wanted to be able to offer the school discount for those students who can take advantage of it. For those interested, details and forms are available on our website under the "News" section. Money and forms for this upcoming week are due on Monday to Mrs. Thompson. The second item is that food pickup for virtual students has been cancelled today and is rescheduled for Monday from 3:00-4:00 at the entrance of the high school gym. Meals will resume the regular schedule next Friday. So, today meal pick-up for virtual students is cancelled and there will be two pickups next week, Monday and Friday from 3:00-4:00.
