This message is to let you know that I have posted a bond update on our website under the “News” section. We are currently bidding out phase one of the bond project with ground breaking sometime this fall. Again, additional details are in the letter. Also a reminder that we continue to offer weekly meals for anyone 18 and under every Tuesday from 4:30-6:30. If you would like someone to pick up the meals for you, the person picking up the meals must have a note from you giving them permission to do so. Our last meal pickup will be August 6th.

Meal Boxes will be available for pick up every Tuesday starting tomorrow from 5:30-6:30pm in the Middle School Parking lot. This pickup will supply your child with breakfast and lunch for 7 days. It is free for any child 18 and under. Any questions please contact our food service director, Shelley Ritchie at 231-824-6411 x4054.

This message is for any middle or high school student interested in athletics for the upcoming school year. The Adolescent Wellness Center located in the high school is offering athletic physicals this summer on June 17, 20 and 21. The wellness enter will bill your insurance, but if you don’t want insurance billed, they do ask for a $25 donation. The time slots for the physicals are on a first come first serve basis. You can reserve a spot by calling 231-306-4900. Athletes remember you do need a physical before the first day of practice. Tomorrow all of the 5th graders will be participating in Field Day. The students will be walking to the athletic complex in the morning and returning to school at lunch time. Kickball and capture the flag will be the activities they are participating in. It will be on the chilly side, but it should be sunny. Dress for the weather and wear tennis shoes. Please bring a water bottle to have at the field.

Football meeting for anyone interested in playing next year and their parents/guardians. April 21 @ 6pm in the HS Library Meet our new football coach and get important information! Coach Merchant will be introducing himself and going over all of the summer activities and team expectations. Please attend if you are planning on playing in the fall.

We have a summer lunch survey on our website/app under the "News" section. This survey will allow you to give input on how we run the summer lunch program. There are two different options. The first one is the traditional option, where students must come during the lunch hour to eat their lunch in the lunch room. The second option allows for us to have parents come and pick up 7 days worth of lunches one time during the week. We believe parents picking up the lunches will allow more students the opportunity to participate, but want your feedback! If you are interested in participating in the survey, the deadline is this Friday at 12:00 PM. Thank you!

Good evening, tomorrow, Monday March 11th, our varsity girls basketball will be traveling to Mcbain for a regional semi final game. There will be a spec bus sign up sheet in the middle and high school offices for any 7-12 grader that would like to ride the bus and receive a free ticket to the game. The spec bus will depart at 6:00pm and return at approximately 9:00pm.

Girls Basketball Regional location change. We will now play Monday at 7:00pm in McBain vs Lake City.

Parents, we have the opportunity to apply for a grant to have our Adolescent Wellness Center open at our school every day of the week, rather than just 2 ½ days. We feel this would greatly increase the opportunity for our students to access both medical and counseling services, while increasing the number of students who will have access to these services. There is a parent survey on the front of our webpage and app we have added for your much needed input. We appreciate you taking the time to fill it out!

Due to icey road conditions, Manton Consolidated Schools is closed today, Wednesday, February 28.

Please be sure to sign up for a spring conference! Please only sign up for a conference with your student’s teachers. You can find out their teacher by looking at the enclosed progress report. Conferences are February 15, 5pm-8pm and February 16, 1pm-3pm. 6th grade students will be arriving home today from camp at 2:40. Due to the conditions of our back roads, the busses will not be running, and we ask that parents make arrangements to have their students picked up at that time. We ask that anyone who sent medications to camp for their child to please see Mrs. Butcher to pick those medications up when you have your child picked up today.

Due to the icey road conditions on our secondary roads, Manton Consolidated Schools is closed today, Friday, January 26th.
